| Stella Mwangi bounces back with new vid & album (Kinanda) | july, 2011

Kenyan artist Stella Mwangi is clearly undaunted by her failure to reach the final of this year's Eurovision Song Contest (representing Norway) going by her new album Kinanda, from which Lookie Lookie (above) is the second official video, the first being Haba Haba, the song with which she made her Eurovision bid. This well-produced pop/hip-hop album will satisfy her existing fanbase, and for new fans who only got to know her from her moment in the international spotlight will be the delight of discovering her rap chops, something she was originally known for when she went by the name STL. That said, we're talking about hip hop-lite here, so we doubt she crafted this album in the hope of attracting hardcore hip-hop fans.
